Chemo is set to begin in January and will go for 4.5 months.  We'll have to wait and see if working still fits in with all this.  She would like to work to have something to do, but I have a feeling it would be too much.

Thanks mate. It was quite a shock.  We're just taking it one day at a time.  I know you've been also dealing with your life changing event.  We all carry on best we can.

Have a great time mate!

Thanks. Timing could be a little off. One of my doctors just called to advise that they want me in for surgery soon to get the plates removed. Hope it's either after Christmas or next week, not scheduled for my time away.

Most of us have faced things we'd rather wished we didn't have to face, but I guess that's just the way life is.

My wife of 18 months was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago.  She underwent surgery and came home after a week in the hospital.  The prognosis isn't great, but it's not the worst either.

Even so, our lives are changed now and it won't be like it was just a few short weeks ago when nothing was wrong.  We have a whole new set of things that have to be done, especially over the next several months.

The good news is that we won't be wasting time anymore and we won't get worked up about things that don't really matter.

Right now, I'm not sure if I can be on Chikatayo everyday like before, but if I can, I'll be here.  I don't want anyone beating my post count.  :D
