I wanted to take a moment to point out that we've crossed the 100,000 mark for number of posts at Chikatayo.

It's taken a little over 3 years to do, (and it hasn't always been pretty  ) but all of the people who keep things going here want to thank all the members for getting us to this milestone.  It may not be a lot compared to the big boards, but it's a big deal to us.

When we started this forum, we didn't really know where it would go.  The Internet is strewn with the corpses and ghosts of others' dreams that could not survive.  We have, thanks to all of you.

In a lot of ways we're are an odd collection of people, but for many of us, this is our home and our family, warts and all.  Here's hoping to see all you and many more when we reach 200,000.  :)

This board is an eclesiastical and unique mix. Personally, despite any appearances to the contrary, I would not want to be without the likes of Jimmy (in any of his guises) or ANYONE here. It is a soap opera to the 100th power. I chose CT as mine long ago and I will stick to it to the end.

The moderators? Incompetent. The owner? A bit of a joke.

The sum of the parts are far, far, FAR lesser than the whole.

I for one - for all of you being somewhat a part of my life - acknowledge you.

Congratulations Alon.

As I've said before, I'll keep coming here as long as circumstances would permit.
